History & Appreciation of Antiques

Teacher: Pat Pixley, Curator

Study material culture and its impact on society through the history and appreciation of antiques. The class features hands-on examination of artifacts and explores the sociological, economic, historical and political impact of these artifacts on the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, as well as their implications for today and tomorrow. Please bring one antique to each class for “Show and Tell.”

Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays with each day offering two options for class times: 

Morning Class: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m and Afternoon Class: 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

$24 for Members; $48 for Non-members
