For the past three years he’s authored a Sunday column on Omaha and Douglas County history\, spotlighting the fabric that makes a city a community. \nStu is a lifelong Omahan\, growing up in the Benson neighborhood and graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1984. His fascination with and extensive research into Omaha and Nebraska history\, including sports\, led him to co-author books commemorating the centennials of the Benson community and Benson High School. \nHe contributed to several books published by the newspaper before his first solo project\, “Nebraska Golf – Out of the Shadows\,’’ in 2021. \nHe has been inducted into the Omaha Public Schools Athletic Hall of Fame\, the Nebraska Golf Hall of Fame and the Benson High Hall of Fame.
