DESCRIPTION:The History of Christmas at Union Station\nPresented by Dr. Kyle Chattleton \nJoin us for a festive and fascinating presentation with Dr. Kyle Chattleton\, Public Historian and Manager of Volunteer & Public Programs at The Durham Museum. Dr. Chattleton brings deep experience in public history—having led over 2\,000 tours for more than 30\,000 visitors at Monticello and sharing his research at national conferences including the Society for Ethnomusicology and the International Association for the Study of Popular Music. \nOriginally from Southern California\, Dr. Chattleton holds degrees from Chapman University and the University of Virginia\, where he earned his PhD in 2022 while studying the history of local protests and sound in Charlottesville. \nIn this special holiday presentation\, “The History of Christmas at Union Station\,” Dr. Chattleton will take guests through the traditions\, celebrations\, and community stories that have shaped Union Station’s iconic holiday season across the decades. \nDiscover how one of Omaha’s most beloved holiday destinations came to life—and how its traditions continue to bring joy year after year.
