Study material culture and its impact on society through the history and appreciation of antiques. The class features hands-on examination of artifacts and explores the sociological, economic, historical and political impact of these artifacts on the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, as well as their implications for today and tomorrow. Presentation by author Lawrence A. Dwyer about the Chief Standing Bear trial at 4pm, followed by a dinner at the Crook House at 5:30pm. Tickets are $40 for members, $45 for nonmembers.
