CROOK HOUSE AFTER DARK
Thursday, August 27 | 7:00–8:30 PM
Crook House Museum | $30 per person + tax
When the museum closes for the day and the Crook House grows quiet, nearly 150 years of history take on a different atmosphere.
Crook House After Dark is back … and it has been selling out since day one.
Join the Douglas County Historical Society and Jamie Nestroyl of Midwest Paranormal History Tours for a 90-minute after-hours experience inside the historic 1879 Crook House Museum, where history and the unexplained meet.
This is not a ghost hunt. Instead, Jamie leads guests through the rooms of the historic home, sharing its history alongside stories and firsthand accounts from people who have lived, worked, volunteered, and spent time within these walls. Some experiences are subtle. Others are anything but. And some have left questions that remain unanswered.
What was heard? What was seen? What happened in these rooms, and why have certain experiences continued to be talked about years later?
For those who love history with a touch of the eerie, Crook House After Dark offers the opportunity to experience this remarkable Victorian home from an entirely different perspective. As evening settles in and the rooms grow still, you’ll hear the stories that aren’t part of an ordinary museum tour; the curious, the unsettling, and the unexplained.
Come with curiosity. Leave with a few stories you may find yourself thinking about long after you’ve gone home.
Tickets: $30 per person + tax
Space is extremely limited.
