Fort Omaha After Dark

August 13th

Details:

📅 August 13th
🕖 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 Meet at the Crook House Museum
💲 $30 per person (plus tax)

Some places grow quiet after dark. Fort Omaha simply begins telling a different story.

As the sun sets behind historic Officers Row, shadows stretch across the grounds of one of Omaha’s oldest and most storied landmarks. For more than 150 years, Fort Omaha has witnessed military triumphs and tragedy, welcomed generations of soldiers and officers, and quietly collected stories that refuse to be forgotten.

For the very first time, Douglas County Historical Society invites you to experience Fort Omaha After Dark, a 90-minute paranormal walking tour led by Jamie Nestroyl of Midwest Paranormal History Tours.

As twilight settles in, guests will journey through the historic campus uncovering mysterious accounts, unexplained experiences, and the lingering echoes of those who once called Fort Omaha home. Some stories are well documented. Others have been passed from one generation to the next. And some remain difficult to explain at all.

There’s something different about historic places after dark. The sounds change. The atmosphere shifts. And sometimes, history feels just a little closer than it does in the daylight.

This is a walking tour, so guests should expect to be on their feet for the duration of the event. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

Thursday, August 13
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
$30 per person (plus tax)
Limited tickets available once they go live.

Newsletter subscribers will receive exclusive early access to tickets when they are released in our August 1 newsletter. If the Crook House After Dark tours are any indication, tickets are expected to disappear quickly.

The grounds are waiting. The stories are still there. All that’s missing is you.

Stay tuned for Fort Omaha After Dark.
